The Ottawa Deaf Health Care Team (ODHCT) has more than thirty volunteers who are involved in various ways supporting members of the Deaf community.
Before joining the Ottawa Deaf Health Care Team, applicants are screened by Hospice Care Ottawa (HCO) and the co-leaders of ODHCT. Once accepted, they participate in a rigorous training program through HCO. Upon successful completion of the training, they become members of ODHCT. All volunteers must be fluent in ASL.
